Three barriers stopping you from launching online programmes

And why most institutions struggle despite having great ideas

Your team can't scale

Your digital learning team supports the entire university. They have the skills but not the capacity to develop full programmes on commercial timescales.

Competitors are moving faster

By the time internal approval processes finish and resources are assigned, your competitors have already launched and captured market share.

Recording lectures isn't enough

Your academics know their subjects but don't know how to restructure content for online learners. Simply uploading lectures doesn't work.

Watch: Our approach

Online learning isn't a technical challenge. It's a teaching challenge.

Most institutions buy recording equipment. Smart institutions invest in Academic Transformation.

Classroom methods don't translate directly online. Content structure, learner engagement, and assessment all need rethinking.

That's exactly what we do. We guide your academics through this transformation whilst building everything they need to launch.

The cost of waiting

Lost revenue

Every quarter delayed means competitors enrol the students who should have been yours. Market share doesn't wait.

Damaged reputation

A poorly executed first attempt—uploaded lectures with no engagement—damages your institution's reputation for years. Students remember bad online experiences.

Exhausted teams

Overloading internal teams leads to burnout and poor results. Developing fully realised, impactful, and effective online courses involves far more work than just uploading lectures.

What you actually get: Complete, bespoke online courses

Not PowerPoints. Not advice. Complete courses that students can enrol in tomorrow.

Course design

Modules, lessons, activities, and assessments — complete architecture built from scratch.

AI-enabled design

Reducing resource requirements while maintaining the quality your institution demands.

Professional video

Instructor videos, explainer animations, and screen recordings — production-ready.

Interactive activities

Discussions, case studies, simulations, and group work that drive real engagement.

VLE integration

Everything built inside your existing platform — Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, and more.

Student resources

Readings, templates, guides, and reference materials your learners will actually use.

Assessment suite

Quizzes, assignments, rubrics, and marking guides — everything your academics need.

Launch ready

Fully tested and quality-assured — students can start learning from day one.

You don't need to hire new staff. You don't need to buy new platforms. We work alongside your academics — bringing the specialist design and build resource they need without pulling them away from their core responsibilities.

What programme directors say

Programme director

From first call to students enrolled: Our four-stage process

Clear stages with specific deliverables at each step

STAGE 1 | Duration: 2-3 weeks

Consulting & strategy

We meet with your team to understand your institution's goals, target learners, and existing resources. Through structured workshops, we identify opportunities and map out exactly what needs to be built.

You receive a strategic roadmap showing all courses to be built, timeline with key milestones, and resource requirements. This becomes your blueprint for the entire project.

STAGE 2 | Duration: 4-6 weeks

Piloting & testing

Before committing to full programme development, we build one complete course. This proves the approach works and gives your academics hands-on experience with real students.

You receive one fully designed and built course ready to launch, complete with all videos, activities, and assessments. This pilot becomes proof of concept before scaling to full programme development.

STAGE 3 | Duration: 8-12 weeks

Course planning & authoring

Our learning designers work with your subject experts to transform their knowledge into structured online courses. Through collaborative design sessions, we capture your academics' expertise and restructure it for online delivery using AI-assisted design.

You receive complete course designs for all modules: content structures, video scripts, storyboards, activity designs, and assessment specifications. Every element is aligned to learning outcomes and quality assured against academic standards.

STAGE 4 | Duration: 6-10 weeks

Course build & media production

We produce all videos, build everything in your VLE, and create all supporting materials. Our production team handles filming, editing, graphic design, and platform configuration. Your academics review and approve everything before launch.

You receive a complete online programme in your platform with all content, videos, activities, and assessments ready for student enrolment. Your team receives training on managing and updating the courses.

Typical timeline: 3-6 months from start to launch (stages may overlap)

Pilot programme: 6-8 weeks
Full programme: 3-6 months

Who we work with (and who we don't)

We're selective about the institutions we partner with

This is right for you if:

  • You're a public or private HEI with ambitions for quality online programmes
  • You have clear goals and can make decisions efficiently
  • You need full courses built with expert design support
  • You value quality and are willing to invest properly
  • You want to work with your academics to develop intellectual content while minimising their workload through expert design
  • You need to launch within 3-6 months

This isn't right if:

  • You only want to record lectures and upload them
  • You're looking for the cheapest option available
  • You expect perfect courses without academic involvement
  • You're not ready to rethink how online teaching works
The institutions that succeed with online learning invest properly in both the transformation and the execution. We help with both.

Questions programme directors ask us

Every project is different. Costs depend on how many courses you need, what media is required, and your timeline.

Typical range: £50,000 for a pilot programme to £500,000+ for complete curriculum transformation.

First consultation is free. We'll discuss your specific needs and provide a transparent, detailed proposal.

Yes. We're platform-agnostic. Whether you use Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or another system, we build courses directly in your environment. We don't force technology changes—we work with what you have.

Absolutely. Your subject experts work with our learning designers throughout the entire process. They maintain academic control whilst we handle the instructional design and production work.

Think of it as collaboration, not outsourcing. Your academics keep ownership of content—we're expert guides who know how to make it work online.

Our approach is grounded in educational theory: constructive alignment, Bloom's Taxonomy, evidence-based learning design. Quality is built into our process, not added at the end.

We move quickly because we have scalable teams and efficient workflows (including AI-assisted design). But every course meets rigorous academic standards before launch.

Yes. Many institutions start with a pilot—one course to prove the approach works. This gives you a finished course to test with real students before committing to full programme development.

After the pilot, you can choose to continue with us or implement the rest internally. Most institutions choose to continue once they see the quality and speed we deliver.

That's fine. Some institutions engage us only for strategic consulting. You get a clear roadmap and can implement internally. Most institutions realise during the strategy phase that they need execution support too—but starting with just consulting is a valid option.
